I like the 911, and I get the hype around them, but they don't half get shit-tons of coverage don't they?

I think as Porsche adds more complexity with each generatuin the older 911s especially the 930s and 964s are getting to that super-hyped collectable status, similar to the way many folks see the BMWs of the same era. There is a longing for many of us to return to the "pure" cars they once where, and since we understand the market realities these "classic" models become more romantic.
